Geoff Carpenter studied Political Science at York University before going to law school at the University of Western Ontario. While in law school, Geoff became interested in family law and his practice is now focused exclusively on family law, including divorce, child custody, separation and complex division of assets.

As the child of divorce himself, Geoff is well aware of the incredible emotional and financial consequences of divorce. This background has shaped the kind of divorce lawyer he is today. Geoff is less focused on what normally happens and the past, and more interested in how to help his clients and their families get through this difficult time in their lives and move forward. He frequently appears in the Ontario Court of Justice and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, but is just as likely to resolve a case outside of court through negotiation and mediation.

Geoff is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, Halton Bar Association, and Collaborative Practice Toronto.
